SOLO FIRST RUN - DOVESTONES RESERVOIR

Post by halifaxbantam » Thu Nov 13, 2014 5:42 pm

Well did my first proper run with the ///M today.

The car has a new identity & this was my first chance to give her a run before I have my knee op on Saturday.

Weather wasn't great, but who cares when you are at the wheel of a car like this with the heated seat on :D

Left home at Ripponden, & took a route under the M62, down through Denshaw, along to Greenfield.

Then climbed up past the Dovestones Reservoir.

Drove along the moors to Holmfirth, before picking up the Barnsley road to the M1.

Steady run back to Ripponden on the motorway network

I don't think the grin on my face will ever go :driving:

Took a few pics there, but photography is not my strong point as you can see

The pics and the car look excellent, know the feeling about 'grins on face'.
Hope your op goes well for you, osmething I need but lack the courage. Assume its a joint refurbish?

Everyone needs to be alone (with their Zed) from time to time. Scenery like that makes me miss living the north, but the job's down here. Once car and pics.

Good luck with the op

+1 to everything you've just said!

Looks like a good drive out OP! And with a cracking car. Can't beat drivinelg alone without having to worry about how smooth the gear changes are ;-)
