007 Euro trip

Post by Worcester_spoon » Thu May 18, 2017 7:27 pm

Off end of June for first proper zed road trip. Plan on doing more miles in 1 week than I've done in last 2 years! :driving:

Going with a buddy who is a James Bond fan so plan to drop in to a few film locations.

Plan is

Day one:-
Eurotunnel to Calais
Blast down to Montreux on Lake Geneva

Day two:-
From Montreux, head to Piz Gloria. Cable car, lunch at the top etc.
Then heading east through the awesome Furka Pass to Andermatt

Day three :-
Off to look at the Contra Dam before heading through the Stelvio Pass and ending up in Innsbruck.

Day 4:-
Innsbruck to Aachen via Nuremberg

Day 5:-
Aachen to Calais and home.

3,000km, 6 countries, 5 days, 2 amazing roads (Furka and Stelvio) and a whole heap of fun!

You could do Pinewood studios on the way home too! :P

Ha, funny. We’ve done it twice now and planned on going again this year. I’ll dig out some photos and post them up.

Would have done the andermatt loop this year, but corona got in the way. Next year for sure.

Will add Contra dam to the trip as well... would be nice to see the ski jump at Cortina but its a bit far, so maybe next time!
