Autotec Electronics POOLE

This lot are a bunch of thieves.

They charged me 632 euro to repair the ABS/DSC unit from my Z4M, after two failed attempts my request for a refund was totally ignored. It is impossible to talk to their finance dept as they operate via a PO box.

DO NOT USE THESE THIEVES AND LIARS

Appreciate how frustrating poor service can be, but your description of them crosses a line that "could" get you into trouble if they decided to retaliate. I'd suggest you edit your post and remove that last part.

Now for the practical advice, did you pay by credit card? If so, go to your card company and complain and ask them to get involved and initiate a chargeback against the dealer. That will do one of two things, maybe both. First you'll most certainly get the attention of the workshop, second, you may well get your money back

Good luck! Let us know how it goes

Having paid in andance via cheque, having received their written quotation for guaranteed repairs, I have no avenue for recompense other than from Autotec.
As the sorry scenario developed I checked the internet and discovered numerous comments whereby others have been robbed by this company, including instances whereby the company were taken to court, lost the case, but still did not compensate customers, this despite bailifs visiting their workshop premises.
Their finace department hides behind a PO box number to avoid face to face contact with customers they have robbed.
Theives and liars is an accurate description.

I guess Dorset (or Poole) trading standards should be your next point of contact.
