Indi recommendation Derby

Hey Guys'n'Girls,

I've just moved back to Derby & my engine management light has come on. Looking for recommendations for a good indi as A) don't wana pay stealer prices B) haven't heard good things about Stratstone.

I agree about Stratstone - have had various BMWs over the years, some company and some private. Stratstone are fine if it's a company car, and you let them do anything that 'needs' doing - i.e. run up a big bill. But as a private owner (the minority of owners), they seem to forget you care about the cost!

I've used German Automotive (Ascot drive) for my 535D and will use them for my zed. They are ex-Bridgegate mechanics and significantly cheaper.
 
I've used two here... Hughes brothers near the pentagon roundabout and in burton on trent - burton motor workshop. Both run by ex bmw chaps.

Reviving an old post, but wondering if anyone has any other recommendations for independent specialists around Derby? Think I have a rear wheel bearing on the way out...

Had door handle carrier replaced due to cable stretch
Coding done including roof close
Service an pre mot checks
Calipers painted
Winter health check
Price quoted was what I paid or less if job was completed quicker
