just got back my z4 3.0 from gmc and they have charged an incredible amount of money for an mot. It has an M pack and required both coil springs changed. I know these are expensive but £100 each plus 2 HOURS work for changing, at 130 per hour. Total of £460 for the coils to be changed. Do we have a winner? Surely it can't be far off an authorised dealer.
In addition to this it needed a new washer filter, loose strut tightening and new mirror glass on one side. Total with this and it's £730 (inc VAT)
They called me on Friday after MOT'ing and I was in the middle of a load of conference calls and didn't pay it enough attention. When I spoke to them today I explained it was all drastically over priced and their response was "we gave you the quote guv". I told them I won't be a returning customer but I think they've already made their money
I know London is expensive but have costs skyrocketed over the last 12 months?
or am I wrong and this is standard? 
Will go back to AMC next time, but interested in other recommendations for SW London.
