That's very reasonable - was that an inspection 2 ? Only ask as I just paid £390 for inspection 2 plus MOT at my Indy's and reckon that was a good price.

Glad you had a good experience there, mine have been shocking. Always trying to rip me off and don't follow instructions (told them not to wash after service several times yet they fail to listen). They also lost my service book and failed to acknowledge this saying it wasn't in the leather pack I handed to them.

Bunch of cowboys.

We don't have Inspection 1's and 2's like the E85/E86 as ours are CBS.
Seem to remember my E85 Inspection 2 was about the same as you paid.

Sorry you had bad experience there. You've used several times though?
I've been using them since 2010 and have had great service from them including 2x £3000 warranty claims.
Although my experience with them back in 2011 wasn't the best it was resolved eventually and didn't deter me from using them again. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=27249&p=376046&hili ... es#p376046

Yeah I've shifted between Sytner Chigwell and Stephen James. TBH when it comes to warranty SJ are good - replaced my Ashtray cover when the spring broke when Sytner wouldn't. But the service book balls up really left a sour a taste and I won't be going back now. I can't see why they would steal it. Had a feeling he got some revenge after I made him half the quote to replace the brake pads after citing a mates quote a week earlier.

My warranty ran out in April I just realized. It's 2011 plate, can I purchase additional warranty?

Thanks

My local dealer - been there many times. Sometimes they treat you really well, other times they dont want to know :headbang:

All depends on who you speak to in there.

Ah man, I cant believe it. I have a 2004, E85, 2.5l, immaculate condition and just 44k miles and 3 previous owners. I've just had an oil and filter change, pollen filter and air filter change, spark plugs change, windscreen wiper change, wheels off and brake disc and pads check, greased/lubricated all catches i.e. bonnet, boot, doors. Checked ALL fluid levels. I provided all consumables. IT COST ME £50!!! at my local garage. Inspection 2................ RIP OFF ALMIGHTY!

If the car is over 3 years old, WHY does anyone spend over £300 on a simplistic BMW main dealer service? Complete rip-off for a 'stamp' in your history that will never recoup your re-sale loses.

Bloody hell, that much money for an oil change, MOT inspection and a stamp in the book. Now I know why I found out about spanners etc at an early age.
