Agree that you there are a lot of other cars you can buy for £18K but that's not the point. Either you want an M Coupe or you buy one of those other cars.

Ive only seen 1 silver M coupe for sale on here at £15250 and that was taken off the market after 2 weeks. If it hadn't I would have been interested.
I think that was my M Coupe at £15,250 on 95k, I needed to move the car quickly because building work was starting at my house and I needed it out of the way, it had no interest so I had to find storage for it instead. Then I started using it again when my 3 series went into the garage 4 weeks ago and I’m still waiting for it’s return! Meanwhile I’ve been enjoying my commute! I think it was fairly priced considering it’s condition. Also if you buy a 70k miler you know you’ve got £1500 of bills to put on to that within 10k miles, if you’re keen to look after it properly.

I've been watching the markets for a while now. There seems to be (somewhat obviously) two distinct camps which trend towards the M Coupe owners and non M, the difference being most N52 (3.0Si) owners are selling to buy an M or other car or just move on, most are pricing to sell.

Whereas it seems most owners (not wanting to tar all with the same brush) of the M coupe have bought as an investment or selling to make profit on their investment.
That's all good however and why not, but, when it comes to pricing to sell, the prices seem somewhat over ambitious for some relatively high in mileage. I know and agree sooner or later these cars will go up but none are selling at the moment as they seem to be pitched around ''what im hoping for otherwise ill sit on it. ' And not priced to sell and that is their prerogative!

Look at M Roadsters, they are priced way lower and more around market value, some relative steals around 13-14k mark. That will get you a Cat-C MCoupe with some spare change, although, for the prudent long term speculator i would say that's currently one of the best deals, as in years to come Cat-C wont matter a bit (when few are left look at Mk1 RS Turbo Escorts) when its backed up with a respectable engineer report with to indicate all is good, thats if you like Silver! Youll be sitting on a (potentially) mint 44k miler which in Mcoupe current estimations a small fortune ;)

If you go to parkers/What car and type in value for an excellent condition 78k Miler M Coupe its valued here:

Buy from dealer £16,300
Buy/Sell privately £14,344
Part exchange £14,050
Trade auction value £12,926

I see a similar private seller same mileage of an MCoupe on Autotrader for around 18.5k ! I saw 2 Silver M Coupes on here recently neither could shift around the 15.5k mark. Especially when you look around at what else you can buy for 18k, alot of nice cars. Either Parkers have it really wrong or..theyre just not shifting due to the time of year.

Anyway they're a beautiful car/engine all the same and hope many of these stunning examples stay around as long as possible.
I look at it a slightly different way, and I think others might do to. I asked myself before I bought the M Coupe what I really wanted in my next car. It had to be rear wheel drive and preferably front engined, more than 6 cylinders, over 300bhp, 2 door Coupe with a usable boot. My list was short, M3, Merc C63, Jaguar XKR, Jaguar F type, M Coupe. My budget for a toy car didn’t stretch to the majority of those, and for me it came down to the M3 or the Z4. Like many people
I like the individuality of the M Coupe, and then when you look at the competition it looks to be great value at £17k or whatever. The only thing like it is the Porsche Cayman but I just don’t like it, it has no personality.

I looked at it the same way but but imagine if you wanted "manual" only. Then you have a small list.

I think you need to give the Porsche some time. I love my M but the Porsche is a beautiful car and I can't write it off just yet.

Put me in the minority then - owners that have bought it to drive and enjoy. Fantastic cars, valued at time of sale by the buyer, not that there are many of them because there are not many examples in the first place. “What’s it worth” threads do my head in... :headbang:

Z4M Coupe current market value

The price of Z4MC are really low in UK comparing to main Europe.
In France, in October, I found :
40000€ for a 50000 km Z4MC e86
35000€ for a 60000 km Z4 M e85 :headbang:
So your prices are real bargain in UK = enjoy :tumbleweed:
