Rare low mileage very early Z4

Post by jamieZ4 » Sun Oct 08, 2017 1:48 pm

Gorgeous 2003 2.5 litre Z4 with only 40,000 miles from new, full service history by BMW specialist and the best colour scheme and alloy wheel combination.

MOT until April 18th 2018. Very good condition. No problems with common faults such as hood. The alarm has to be activated by manually locking the door or else it intermittently goes off. Annoying as I paid to have it fixed.

The Z4s became available around September 2003 and so very few of these early cars are around, particularly with such genuine low mileages and in this stunning colour scheme. I’d suggest this car might only go up in value now, or in coming years. Even better if the new owner can keep the miles low. The earliest cars will always be the most desirable in my experience - the 1961 E-Type Jaguars are worth around twice the value of any later e-type for example

I've owned this car for two and half years and although used regularly, its done few miles in my ownership. I bought it at 32,000 miles in April 2015. The previous person owned it for 7 years where it spent most of its time garaged and unused as part of a car collection.

I also own a 1964 Austin Healey and my Z4 gets almost as much attention now, people seem to love the colour and wheel combination. This is our third Z4 and I am only selling it because I'm buying Z4 M.

I bought a brand new 3.0 Z4 in September 1 2003, one of the first in London and was instantly hooked. These cars are modern classics in my opinion. I'd love this bonnie Z4 to go to a good home and hence I am only advertising it on this forum initially.

£4950 ono.

Car looks tidy-good luck with your sale, although apart from the M cars I haven’t seen any evidence that normal e85 2.5 zeds are rising in value-I’d say they are still falling?

Nice enough Z4 that OP. Not sure they are considered a modern classic yet although I did see two at the last classic car show I went to in September. But then there was also a 53 plate Nissan Primera there.... :o

Good luck with it.

Good luck with the sale! Curiously, what's the location of the backdrop in the last 3 photos?

Very strong money and a poor advert, too much waffle and not enough actual car info.

Best of luck selling it though.

Love the ambition, and if you can stick it in a garage for 10-20 years you might end up doubling your money.

As a low mileage minter 2.5 I think you've undervalued it. I love the ambition of the pitch, keep talking em up.

Firstly welcome to the forum OP. (Even if it is just to sell your car). :(

Which looks great, but I can't see early ones having that much investment potential to be fair - especially 2.5is with those seats. But GLWTS anyway!

Fantastic location for your photos (even if on double yellows it is a contender for the crap parking thread)

Richmond Hill is apparently the only view in England protected by an Act of Parliament. Sir Walter Scott and Wordsworth wrote about it, Reynolds and Turner painted it, Mick Jagger and Pete Townsend live there - apologies for the side-track.
Coupes because stunning!

Good luck with your sale
You'll definitely need it unless you significantly lower the price!

Nice enough car but that's well into 3.0 face-lift si money on a sub 200hp car

Strong investment potential? It’s a 14 year old mid range Z4 in nice condition, but you need a reality check on the price.
£3,750 gets you into a 2003 58k 2.5 with red leather interior, vs your asking of £7k
Your asking also gets you into the most expensive 2003 on the market (autotrader) - a 39k 3.0 at a dealers, so warranted..
Jaguar F-Type 3.0 Supercharged V6 S, Stratus Grey, LSD, Active Exhaust, CF wheels, Performance brakes, Sports seats and mods ongoing
Gone but not forgotten Z4 3.0i SE Roadster ///M front, Red ///M leather seats, Aero sills
