For sale, my 13-plate 35iS. Production date was 8th March 2013 so comes with the enhancements that the mid life facelift brought such as raising the roof on the go. Current mileage is 54k, there have been two prior owners. External colour is Melbourne Red metallic and interior trim is Canberra Beige. I was looking a long time for a car that matched my ideal spec and in the end gave up and bought a silver i35 and then as things happen in life this car popped up for sale shortly afterwards and it became mine earlier this year.

The car was very well specified when ordered with the following main options:

Through load opening w/int. transport bag
High-beam assistant
Comfort package
Lumbar support, driver and passenger
Seat Heating
Wind Deflector
DAB Radio
BMW Professional Loudspeaker system
HiFi system Professional DSP
Navigation system BMW professional (maps updated to the latest 2017 version)
Voice control
19” M Double Spoke style 326
Adaptive M chassis (was a delete option)

The car has a full BMW main dealer service history, the last major service was done 22 Oct 2016 (next one due Oct 2018) and the car had a 100% clean health check inspection done last week on 29th November. I don’t however trust the two-year oil change periods so in November 2017 had the oil and filter changed by my local garage using Castrol Edge Titanium 0w-30. MOT runs to February 2018. RTTI subscription renewed in October which ensures the best traffic information is available for most of 2018 until the next renewal.

Condition wise the car looks excellent. The paintwork is very good, a few chips as you would expect and an area touched up in front between the grills. There are a couple of micro stone dents which are too difficult to photograph and which are only visible to me under harsh fluorescent garage lighting. The interior is excellent, no signs of wear to the leather or damage to any trim - the leather has been regularly cleaned and treated with the correct specification products from LTT and I have a partial foam cover on the seat belt to prevent the usual staining that occurs above the shoulder. I had the multi-function wheel refurbished by Royal Steering wheels a couple of hundred miles back so the wheel feels like that of a new car.

The car is always kept attached to a CTEK battery conditioner when its garaged (which it always is when not being driven). The 19” style 326 wheels are in good condition (not perfect due to some minor curbing) with no signs of any cracking and have very good condition Bridgestone RFT's fitted - shallowest tread depth measured today is ~6.3mm and deepest 8.5mm, so many miles of good service left on these plus they are not that old. I had a full Hunter laser alignment check and adjustment done in September 2017. The brake disks and pads were recently replaced and have lots of life left in them.

Mechanically the engine pulls like a train it really does have buckets or torque and although fairly subtle, sounds very creamy too also it doesn’t use oil as far as I can tell. The DCT gearbox is flawless with perfect changes, switching to Sport makes the changes much more urgent and adds a nice sporty feel to the drive.

In terms of faults that have been remedied; the relatively common noisy fuel pump has just been sorted this month with a replacement under warranty, one of the adaptive dampers was replaced by the previous owner (the ones on the car are all dry with no signs of fluid leaks or any fault codes - but if there was an issue the warranty would take care of all but £100 of the costs). The other common fault with the E89 is a dodgy roof and mine was sorted with the great help of Bryan aka Dietcokeman; it now operates flawlessly.

The car has 12 months of BMW Comprehensive warranty running until 11th December 2018 – the best on the market IMO, I’ve made multiple claims over the years on different BMW’s with never a single issue or rejection.

Small adjustment to the price to help things along and the to reflect the switch back to 19" wheels, now £18k SOLD which given the strong spec, mileage and warranty feels like a very fair price to me  . The car is located near Henley on Thames.

Thanks for reading the ad.

Just a shame it hasn't got the 19s on it :( though a wheel change isn't a major hurdle to get over :P  :D

Yes, not ideal but could be worse, dissapointing though as it took some time to locate this spec and colour combo
Thanks Keith

I thought I recognised your Zed from around the area! Seen you a few times in Henley and past Shiplake if I'm not mistaken :driving:
Sad to see a forced sale   Great looking car though, someone is in for a real treat!

ahh..I presumably have seen you and yours too, what colour/model is it? Yes somebody is in for a real treat, coming from Porsche I wasn't expecting fireworks with performance, brisk motoring yes but not rocket propelled acceleration - it really does shift and is quite intoxicating..shame about the stupid speed limits around here though, tends to dent the fun a bit but does encourage drives further afield.

Silver E89 3.0i msport. Black rims, grills, wing mirrors, wrapped black top and tinted windows :) Unfortunately haven't been able to spend enough time in some of the higher performance sports cars to warrant an opinion on performance comparison, but hey still plenty of time :P have to agree about the speed limits... the road between Shiplake and Reading could be quite a nice drive bar the traffic and cameras... dont even bother with Remenham hill anymore...
Anyway, Best of luck with the sale OP!

Something my wife always says when I move onto another motor...usually within days of selling the previous one with th determined phrase “ thats it, Im tired of losing money on cars, no more”...
