Well I've bought Jims Z4 and what can I say. It's absolutely amazing. I'm very impressed Jim and thanks for your honest description and looking after the car so well.
I'm going to put a stubby ZHP gearknob on and I'm looking for some new mats ( any suggestions anyone )
The car is appearing in Modern Classic magazine in a few weeks.
What I didn't understand with the insurance though. I declared the BBS alloys and at the same time declared the sat nav / air con / parking sensors just in the name of thoroughness. The quote came DOWN from £320 to £267 !!
I thought they would sting me for a few hundred quid due to the BBS wheels.

Welcome aboard mate.
At least you don't have to post up the 'newbie' pictures as Jim had already done this.
ZHP should be approx. £55, stubby circa £10. No idea on mats though buddy as I haven't replaced those in mine.

Bugga!
Read your post as needing a stubby when it actually read 'stubby zhp'.
I see it already has the obligatory stubby so I'll get my coat

No worries NB67....
Also looking at a steering wheel re-trim from Royal Steering Wheels, a friend with an M3 has used them and recommends the refurb. I can say it does look good.

Yep, one of the most satisfying mods I have done - lets face it the steering wheel is your contact with the car so its ergonomics are very importantMacky72 wrote:No worries NB67....

Nice mod that. Make sure you don't whack yourself in the mush pulling the old one off.Macky72 wrote:ZHP gearknob ordered from Jamie at Sopers BMW. £55 delivered with forum discount.

Mine came off with little to zero effort so hopefully yours will be similar. Pop it in 2nd gear and yank it upwards, pop the ZHP on, job done
