Wanted: 35i or 35IS
Hey guys,
Im looking to get into a 35i or 35is 2012> under 30,000 miles
My ideal spec is:
Space Grey, Mineral Grey, Titanium silver or Valencia Orange
Red leather - essential (Extended would be nice unless Valencia)
DCT 7 Speed - essential
19" 326M Alloys
Pro nav - essential
Pro Loud speaker - 14 speaker DSP system - essential
DAB - essential
Sports heated seats (with lumbar would be nice)
Adaptive sus
M sport - essential
Adaptive headlights
Cruise - essential
Bluetooth phone prep - essential
Anthracite Headling
Mulitfunction steering wheel - essential
Carbon alu trim - essential
Rain Sensors - essential
Comfort Package - Wind deflector, PDC, Cruise control, Extended lighting, interior and exterior dimming folding mirrors etc - essential
I know not asking for much and this car probably doesn't exist but ive put what is essential and the rest is a bonus. I’m prepared to wait for the correct car. Have a budget of £23k but may go higher for the right car.
Im not really interested in a white, but if the car has the essential spec i would be interested in a Metallic black, Crimson red or Deep sea blue but above would be the ideal.
Cheers guys! Let me know!

Tough task Tom & if wanting a 2012 onwards kiss goodbye to Space grey was only available for a year 09 / 10
As you say the £23k budget is flexible & met black a considered choice then isn't john-e89s 12 month old low miler worth a look

Or the newer grey, not sure what the colour that replaced it is called.
Seen plenty of 11 plates with most of the above spec 35i for under 18 so figured an extra 5 would get what I want. Doesnt have to be a 35is just depends what comes up the 35i I tested I thought was really excelent and not sure if the extra 30odd hp is nessasary. Johns is pushing it TBH for me or I would have bought it. Looking to get a house too so my budget is flexible but not That flexible!

There's a silver 35I on Autotrader with 19k on it seems to tick most of your boxes. Looks a good car.10 plate for £18,700.

The newer grey is Mineral Tom & for me possibly the best colour for E89 closely followed by VO

Can't argue with that, black looks soooo good clean and well polished but mineral grey just nicks it, such a sublime colour for the E89 shape. Speccing one now I'd go grey I think.mr wilks wrote:The newer grey is Mineral Tom & for me possibly the best colour for E89 closely followed by VO

Tried to buy it, rang him on thurs was being traded on Friday at 11.40am, didnt want to buy it unseen and unfortunately I couldnt get to London to buy it before the dealer got hold of it. Plus the dealer offered him £18,500 so there was no movement in the price and although good I thought there should have been some room to negotiate.sammyz wrote:There's a silver 35I on Autotrader with 19k on it seems to tick most of your boxes. Its now for sale for £21,995 managed to negotiate it to £20,500 but think its still too much with it being 6 1/2 years old. Me and SWIMBO were driving down to London today to make the deal but got as far as crew and turned round. Going to wait for a newer one I think. It also had absolutely everything on the spec sheet fantastic spec car but not the 14 speaker system had the basic 6 speaker. Dealer sent me a video of it and it looks absolutely mint. The guy on the phone said it did about 12 miles a week. Great car for someone but going to let this one go. Im not desperate, so willing to wait for the right one to come up, also means more time to save to possibly get a newer car

Completely agree. One will come up just have to wait im in no rush really! Would rather wait and get exactly what im after. Grey also hides a lot of swirls and paint imperfections unlike black that lights up the swirls like a christmas tree. My old silver grey was such a great colour but I did look after it.mr wilks wrote:The newer grey is Mineral Tom & for me possibly the best colour for E89 closely followed by VO

Patience is a virtue Tom, or so they say. I'm sure the right car will appear sooner or later and prices might fall a little with winter approaching.

for direct comparison. Middle pic is space grey, bottom is mineral. Most people who have known my cars have pointed out that the thought space grey could not be bettered, until they saw mineral.
my 35is fits your criteria plus has heated wheel, which i recommend. There were quite a few pre reg cars of this spec, so you will definitely find one. Be patient, its out there. Id peronally wait or the Is. Much nicer supercar sound.

Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

Thanks Zed Five, appreciate it. Definitely prefer Mineral out of the 3! I would like the IS too but I think the 35i is a great car too and at a fair savingZed Five wrote:viewtopic.php?f=6&t=84140

It's missing the red leather but looks very good otherwise.
