Engine has to be in good condition.

Spec wise-prefer all extras but minimum is heated seats, PDC, pref nav

Colour-black prefered but any considered

Just curious with the lack of success after a month
Have you been offered any possibles or maybe viewed or driven any potential cars that you then discounted ?
It seems a buyers market out there right now so can't see why you would struggle if you have anything between £11k & £16k for a M roady

I'm very picky. Haven't viewed or driven any. Also not sure many of them are worth even near the money sellers are asking as all I see on Autotrader is car after car sitting for months and months. Also looking for one with somewhat of an engine rebuild.

Well best wishes with that criteria not saying i know every car on here intimately but i can't recall a single forum members roadster having any engine rebuild & only 2 M coupes i know of currently on the forum have had cam work done
Its certainly not the norm & bearing in mind the already small pool of potential cars you may well be better off buying with a kitty in reserve to get the work done should it ever be necessary

Well I've had experience of the s54 before hence my caution. If the right one doesn't come up, I simply won't buy. I'm not desperate for one but would defo love to have one. Price is the probably the main issue though I would say. I think so many of them are priced based on these overpriced cars that are for sale for 6 months etc, which imo is the wrong way to price. I don't want to be stung whenever I go to sell.

Hmm. If I were buying I'd set myself a budget and go find the best car I could within that budget. If I couldn't find a decent car then I'd either re-assess the budget, or consider a different car

I don't understand people under-valuing them at their current price. There's nothing else you can buy for the same money (age/ rarity/ performance etc) With their limited 2-year run; they're only going to be increasing in price too..
