SOLD - 2007 Z4M Coupe for road and track loads of extras - pictures updated

Post by tertius » Mon Jan 02, 2017 6:01 pm

For sale is my sensitively modified Z4M Coupe in carbon black, with carbon leather interior

Updated: May - MoT renewed, expiry May 2018

Updated March 4 - I have just spent a not inconsiderable sum having the car professionally cleaned, a small amount of paint correction done and waxed by Liquid Car Care - http://www.liquidcarcare.com/ - and it looks amazing, exterior pictures updated.

Standard spec, all the usual M Coupe options plus folding mirrors, carbon black paint; carbon leather and aluminium interior, Bluetooth, Professional Nav and sound, rear parking sensors.

I am the second owner (previous owner had it from new and sold it to me) though the V5 says two previous owners, I assume due to a private plate change.

Three genuine BMW keys plus the emergency key.

MoT until May 2018.

I primarily bought the car for track days, but due to other interests I have only done around 6 or 7 days in the nearly four years I have owned the car. I have done less than 8,000 miles in those 4 years and so it seems sensible to sell it.

It is equally at home on road or track – I just wind up the damper stiffness a few clicks for a track day and back down at the end of the day. Two sets of wheels are included – road set with MPSS tyres and a track set with Avon ZZ-Rs.

I am sure I have forgotten a few things – feel free to ask any questions.

Modifications:
Interior:
Full carbon Tillett B5 buckets with Dinamica back, seat pad and headrest panels. – c. 6kg each, saving around 25kg per seat. The seats are on Tillett sliders with normal fore and aft adjustment. Height is fixed but can be altered by repositioning the seat in the side mounts or adding spacers as necessary.
Six point Schroth harnesses in silver for driver and passenger. Original inertia reel belts are retained. Passenger seat has an occupancy mat fitted – airbag lights activate and extinguish absolutely as normal.
M steering wheel recovered by Royals in alcantara with top marker in silver leather and M colour stitching.
Turned alloy gear knob (original included).
Inntravee and Alpine 420i iphone adaptor fitted though it has never worked for me.

Suspension:
Intrax 1K2 adjustable suspension, coilovers at the front; barrel spring rears. Setup and geometry by Center Gravity.
Currently setup with a fairly aggressive track-oriented geometry (lots of negative camber).

Brakes:
AP Racing 6 pot front and 4 pot rear monoblock callipers; serviced and repainted in M blue.
Front discs are Performance Friction grooved floating discs; rears are OEM BMW cross drilled.
Brake pads – Pagid RS29 front and RS4-2 rear.
Brake Fluid Motul RBF 600.

Chassis:
Strongstrut 3 part front brace.

Engine:
Standard, fully rebuilt by BMW under warranty in Feb 2013 (at 59,112 miles). Further running in service completed at 60,113 miles.
Vibra-Technic engine mounts (road spec.)
Current mileage 66,777. Next oil service due in 9,000 miles.
RPI air scoop.

Exhaust:
Superspint manifold and 200 cell cats; standard X-pipe and back boxes – very quiet, passes noise limits everywhere.

Transmission:
Standard 6 speed manual.
LSD changed for a used example from a 40k E46 M3 auto. However, it turned out to be unnecessary as the problem was the bearings not the diff itself; so the old diff is included as a spare.

Bodywork:
Black radiator grilles; otherwise standard, but previously an AC Schnitzer rear spoiler and APR front splitter was fitted. These have now been removed and the paintwork significantly restored including a full front end respray.
The ACS spoiler and front splitter are included in the sale.

Wheels and tyres:
Road wheels are Apex EC7 18x8.5 ET35 on the front and 18x10 ET25 of the rear.
Road tyres are Michelin Pilot Super Sports, plenty of life.

Additional parts/spares (all included at the asking price, happy to exclude if preferred):
Forgestar F14 track wheels (18 x 8.5 and 18 x 10) with Avon ZZ-R semi slick track tyres.
Spare limited slip differential (original item).
Original chrome radiator grilles
Original M suspension
AC Schnitzer rear spoiler
APR front splitter and under tray cut-down to fit splitter
Original gear knob
Original DVD unit (faulty)
Original engine mounts

Asking: £22,000 for everything - less if you don't want all the extras.

thats some car.....

what on can you buy for 22k.. with this level of spec, performance, and just awesomeness..... a very very tasty car, viewed the advert over and over again. I wish i could afford 2 because id love this.

22k is nothing for the spec on offer, the brake set themselves new are over 4k with all the options ticked. Wish you all the best, this will be one you look back on in many years i think i regret the sale. GLWS.

lovely.

Hmm, don't know why that would be - I can see them from PC, iPad and phone. Also checked they are visible whether I'm logged into the forum or not.

However, if you quote the ad you'll see the html code and can copy and paste the address of each photo into a browser. Bit of a pita I realise.

Even for someone who's after a vanilla Z4M and has the time to bring this back closer to OEM spec, it's probably not a bad buy, given the extras on offer. Plus the engine rebuild @ 60k provides a lot of peace of mind (assuming the usual S54 "expendables" were checked/replaced!).

GLWTS.

I'm at a loss then - have tried two different computers, they and that link all work perfectly for me.

Can anyone else actually see the pictures?
