BMW Z4 3.0i 2004, FSH, 53,000 miles, mint £6500 (hardtop & covers available separately)

Post by skyjacker » Sun May 21, 2017 12:53 pm

For sale is my beloved BMW Z4 3.0i SE in bright red.

I have owned this car for 2 years and 3 months. When i was hunting for a Z4 it had to be a unique one so bright red paint and cream leather fitted the bill. The car is completely standard apart from the sound generator mod which brings out the fantastic sound of the 3.0 engine in the cabin (it's a piece of foam that can be removed and put back very easily, I will put this back if desired on sale).

-Mileage at approx 53,200 miles. Will rise slowly as still in use.
-The car is MOT'd until 08/01/18, having only failed on front brakepad wear, these were immediately replaced. I have all MOT certificates dating back to 2013.
-New front brake pads fitted Jan 2017
-Oil and filter change, spark plugs and coilpack fitted November 2016
-Brake fluid changed September 2015
-Tyres are Goodyear eagle f1's all in top condition, 6.5mm tread on the fronts, 4mm on the rears. I have receipts for the purchase and fitting
-Full service history with fully stamped service booklet, leather book, all service receipts going back to 2014
-Next service not due for another 11,000 miles
-All alloys are in excellent condition no kerbing or fading/peeling, The BWM centre caps were replaced with brand new OEM ones in 2015
-The softop is in excellent condition with no tears or stains, cleaned and treated with autoglym softop products
-The roof drainhole covers have been regularly cleared out to prevent flooding of the roof motor, the most common fault on e85 z4's, hardtop has been on in winter too (hardtop not included in sale)
-The paintwork is in excellent condition with no dents or scratches. There are only a few stonechips on the bonnet commensurate with it being a 13 year old car.
-The car has been kept in the garage during winters due to use of a second car
-I replaced the headlights last year as the old ones were prone to condensation (dark ones now on car)
-The car is regularly washed, clayed, polished, sealed and waxed, detailed by myself.
-The exhaust tips have been regularly cleaned with metal polish to maintain their chrome finish.
-The front bumper was professionally resprayed in 2015 as I didn't like the stonechips
-The interior is regularly cleaned and treated with leather treatment products. People think cream is hard to maintain, it really isn't if you use the right product; the mats aren't stained and are in excellent condition, I have a spare set too.
-(Red hardtop and the rare hardtop lock covers available for additional purchase separately. Not included in this advert. It was professionally resprayed red from black last year. The heated rear screen works perfectly. I also have fitting instructions. No special tools needed despite what the net tells you)
-Private plate not included in sale.
-3 previous owners.

Looking for £6,500.
Genuine reason for sale, future work committments are now forcing me to buy a diesel.
No part ex offers please unless you have a Honda S2000 in which case the diesel commitments may have to wait!

Lovely looking Zed - can't beat bright red  (although you might be missing a trick selling the hard top with the car  )
New owner just has to throw on a tasty set of wheels and they have a stunning car :driving:

That's one whole load of fun car for c£7k. It looks great and is a credit to the owner.

I'd be very surprised if this isn't sold quickly.

Good luck!

just a thought, if you list the car priced without the hardtop, but offered in the advert at additional cost you bring the headline price down to a more tempting looking offer, particularly if you stick it on autotrader, pistonheads etc where buyers set a maximum price in their search filters (there are very few pre-facelift cars going to be listed at over £7k).

Looks nice though

Thanks for the support guys :)

Is general consensus that I should sell the hardtop separately then?

My thoughts were that this is quite a rare colour meaning the hardtop would be more difficult to sell separately, as well as me thinking buyers would want the whole package?

Or is it also partly down to the time of year? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Great looking car and low mileage too, it's seems a shame to split the car from it's roof if it's original to the car. But that's your choice. GLWTS

Thanks! Though atm I'm not inclined to split the roof from the car as per the advert, but it seems mixed opinion on here as to what's the best option to ensure a good sale.

Waiting for some more advice on this on here
