Not the most comprehensive ad by any stretch of the imagination but any info requested will be supplied and photos of any part of the car.
Mileage :49800
MOT'd about 6 weeks ago and barely used since
Serviced when I bought it 2 years ago and serviced via the computer in the car in my ownership......all brakes replaced this year and fluids
Been 100% reliable in my ownership,no commuting trips...used for holidays,weekends away,etc
£12500 is what I'd like for it but totally happy to take valuations/offers as it's not going to be used from now......I have access to 3 other vehicles so will keep the mileage under 50K
Thanks for all input

Always thought the straight6 3.0 89 longterm would be the one to provide the best compromise with minimum outlay & i still think that will prove true down the line .

Thanks Mr Will's......swamped with work, family stuff,DIY at the moment, hence car not getting used.
Roof, mirror caps and roll hoop covers we're professionally painted last year.Personal preference as I didn't like the black A pillars against the white roof when closed...same with mirror caps, they blended in better.Roll hoops we're glaring in Matt plastic silver....only silver item on view around seats...... remember BMW offered a black roof as an option but maybe not in all body colours.Saw the black roof on a VO 35i and liked it......stood out from the rest, but as I said...personal preference.
Car is pretty well specced....11speaker system with hard drive is useful....no electric adjustment on seats though.
I'll check all the other stuff when I get home.

Major omission not telling the world the car is up in Scotland....approx 10 miles south of Perth.....doh!!
Company I was working for were bought over by a national comp so I'm now covering a larger area as a service tech hence the lack of time....at the moment I hope but Car's going anyhow.....I was thinking of an E85 so there's not so much cash tied up and depreciating.

Hi only problem is I have spied a car BMW Cotswold Cheltenham , Z4 3.0I March 2010 , 49975 miles £12950 with 200 point check , 12 months warranty extendable , 12 months Mot , 12 months recovery .
Although your car is better to look at I am not sure if I could go past the warranty for only £400 more ?

No worries,if you get any little niggles sorted straight after you bought such a vehicle then I doubt you'll need the warranty.
I purchased mine from a dealer with a warranty and it's been faultless....had a recall from BMW a couple of months ago done....some electrical lead under the dash someplace, wife took the car in as I was away with work.If main dealers are selling similar cars with the peace of mind of a main dealer experience then it looks like I'll have to lower my expected price however.

Answering a few questions,
3 previous owners before me
Heated seats
Sat nav with all the associated stuff
PDC front & rear
BMW warranty.....no
Tyres are standard issue run flats, replaced in my ownership with at least 5mm on all tyres.Only reason I fitted these was they needed replaced as axle sets and I didn't want pairs of odd tyres on the car.I'd used the car on weekend trips up to Caithness, driving at night, and we also did an extensive trip to Europe so didn't want to be stranded.
3 key fobs as I thought I'd lost 1 and purchased a replacement from Grassicks BMW,fully coded £180 and then found the "lost" 1 in a jacket pocket :headbang:
MOT was actually done in march at 41150 miles so not done many miles after.
The only service I've had done was with an independant garage that I use in Edinburgh(100 mile round trip, but I trust them)......they did MOT and were instructed to check and replace fluids in gearbox and diff.....subsequently didn't need to be done. Also replaced all braking components and Inspection 1 service.I've known the owner and one of the mechanics for a few years as they worked at Murray Lotus and looked after 2 Elise's I had......highly recommended and far superior to my local BMW garage(20 mile round trip).....don't want any of our personal vehicles serviced by a "technician" who has 1 eye on the clock cos he/she's working to a fixed menu.
If anybody has any other qyestions or wants further pictures just ask.....might be at home tomorrow as clutch went on my traffic van....not too shabby for a Renault though,2009 and just turned 246000 miles....99% me.

Just had a look at the similar z4 at bmw cheltenham....pretty basic spec and I'm sure they are 290 rims not 293 but someone more knowledgeable on BMW wheels can confirm.....basic seats as well if I'm not mistaken......think I'll leave the price as is for the moment......I'm a Scotsman after all

Thanks for your detailed answer , it is all new to me had BMWs for the last 31 years but never a convertible , current car X5 , mrs car 220d msport xdrive gran tourer , looking for a bit of fun as it will be a third car .
I was buying a Porsche Boxster from a local garage had agreed a price which was market value , when the garage owner turned up long story short he reconed the car was too cheap so put the price up by £1700 . I was not amused and he wasnt bothered , he still has the car .
Went to see a Z4 E85 lovely car 2.2 low mileage , but again at a dealer at market value , has been on the books for 15 months so stood on the forecourt 15 months , no mot but would mot 12 months , would only knock £200 but during the conversation he let slip it had a problem with the fuel kept stalling every now and then but only £60 a time to fix , walked away .
Now looking for a genuine car , think the E89 is a great looking car & would rather buy from a caring owner not a person looking to make a killing and move on to the next mug .
Your car seems to fit the bill , unfortunately I am not in love with the roof being black on a white car just looks wrong to me , however I could always paint it white ( how much did it cost to respray ? ) .
regards

Definitely not specced as msport.....think it may be called SE.I'm not actually sure how many variations there were but thought it was SE & msport
Msport has 19" rims and lower ride height....not sure of any other suspension changes and differant bumpers.
I purposely didn't look for an msport spec car as the roads can be a bit agricultural in Scotland and 19's with 30&35 profiles would've had a hard time......especially on the run flats which I had decided to keep.

Can't remember the exact amount but around £400 for all the items I mentioned previously to be painted black......rear window was taken out by Autoglass to have this done properly.
When I got a quote from a local comp to wrap the items he didn't think he'd be able to finish the roof section around the rear window without some white paint showing due to the window being recessed, also thought the mirror caps might have to be sections.....didn't ask about roll hoops. It all sounded a bit shoddy to be honest so I went down the painted route with the associated "properly finished look"
In reality the price is ball park unless the same company re-did the roof sections in Alpine White again.....think the Autoglass guy took £60 to cover the rear window in and out.
