1972 MG Midget 1275 RWA - SOLD

Post by Boris » Fri Aug 18, 2017 8:03 pm

My Very Under Used MG Midget, which I have treated as my something to do thing on a weekend and have actually driven it very little over the last 2/3 years other than very short runs to keep it in good order.

1972 RWA MG Midget 1275
Mallard Green with Tan Interior and wire wheels
Tested until May 2018
92,700 miles (engine refreshed in mean time)
Unleaded Head
Full new interior including seat covers, carpets (including boot) and cards in the last 3 years plus many mechanicals sorted
Brakes overhauled
New Electronic Ignition
New Duplex Timing Chain
New Tyres
New Door Seal
Lots of new fittings, handles, lights, trims etc
Wire Wheels recently powder coated
Good Soft Top with perfect clear rear windows but one very slight tear which has been patched
New custom made exhaust and down pipes.
Runs very well never had any engine issues
Bodywork not perfect but good and solid
Large History file
I have serviced it in the last 6 weeks, oil changed every 6 months regardless of use.

Hi There I have it on eBay as Buy it now for £4,250, but have in the auction as well with a reserve set, to be honest I would be happy with 4k, I just don't use it especially now I have the Z4 as well.

Cheers

I sold mine about 3 months ago, looks in similar condition. Sold it via car and classics for good money. If yours is as good as it looks you may be underselling it.

cheers and good luck with the sale
now I'm about to have more time I've suddenly got less toys to play with!

Haya,

I have it on Car and Classics as well thanks.

I think I have the car up at the right price for the condition, the camera doesn't always show the whole picture, the paintwork isn't a s good as it looks, its not bad but it does look particularly good in the pics.

To be honest I've spent more on it than I'm ever going to get back, I don't mind as long as it goes to someone who appreciates it and continues to maintain it. I've enjoyed driving and fettling it while I've had it.

Cheers

Never had the courage to try racing, think the red mist would descend and I'd end up dead!

We have a couple of nice day cars and a mini for the skip ,n shopping runs

Thing is with car folk, you always have more than you actually need but that has nothing to do with why we have so many.

Cheers
