35is Did not sound right?

Post by sunnydays » Fri Oct 20, 2017 11:14 pm

Hey all,

So earlier on I took the 35is out for a drive. All seemed fine, brought it home left in the drive for 20 mins ish. When I came back to start the car it sounded very different from its self. It sounded hollow, quiet and rattly almost? No lights were on the dash and it drove fine. Then when putting petrol in it happened again driving away. Accelerating it sounded really off but it went away. I drove it further and it went back to normal.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks!

Exhaust flap misbehaving perhaps, Maniac had some problems with his with the vacumn pipe being crushed IIRC.

Worth checking out.

Thanks, could the exhaust flap cause such a variance in noise hmm, even stuck shut I couldnt imagine it sounding like that. Although the flap needs adjusting as I can hear it rattling.

Will take a look :)
