I fixed my roof rattle with a wind deflector .... YAY

Well,

You know when you get a nice surprise, well I got one yesterday.

I have for a long time had a rattle when the roof was up, learned to live with it despite trying everything to fix it.
Yesterday I retrofitted a wind deflector, replacing the rear hoop covers for the drilled items to accept the brackets.
I then screwed the brackets through the hoop covers, fitted the deflector and went for a spin. Not that impressed with the deflector to be honest, more of a fly catcher. I got mine brand new, unused off the bay (the BMW item not the perspex things). But it started to rain, so hood up and NO RATTLE WOOO HOOOO.
I think that actually putting a screw through the hoop covers to secure them to the frame has fixed the problem. Interestingly, holding the hoop covers during rattle tracing did not change anything!

If you are retrofitting a wind deflector do it yourself, it takes 15 min and a child could 'literally' do it.
