You should notice a difference with the new injectors installed. My MPG increased and engine was much smoother.

Great to read it's back on the drive and running smooth. Some scary sums mentioned. Think I'll be sticking with the MR a good while.

Let’s face it... none of these cars are a sensible choice.
She’s back with me and better than ever, that’s what matters to me.
Now just to deal with that annoying RTA

Are my Rose tinted specs on view again.
Running costs I'm happy to live with. You can usually see those coming and budget accordingly. It's things that break I don't like. Touch wood, not much has broke on mine in 50k + miles of my ownership. Radiator fan £400 and sat nav flip screen. That's it. The rest just works.

I’ve not noticed any difference there. It does feel different to drive. Mushy and almost hesitant at low speed and revs, perhaps I just got used to it being a bit lively and jerky due to the fault.
Still goes like a bat out of hell so that’s reassuring and idle is very smooth albeit typically N54 not perfect idle.
So yeah good to have it back, just to MERC to sort out now (someone drove into it, let’s not go there, spent the last two weeks with my head in my hands).

Oh there is one other thing I’ve noted since the new injectors went in.
It starts on the first turn.
Used to take 2/3 turns.

So I’m just not sure what’s changed...
But after repeated cold start hesitation changing from D2 to D3 and a one off recent very alarming gear downshift resulting in a lurch forward (like it revved up to downshift without releasing the clutch) in traffic I’m going to have to talk with the dealership... she’s not the same.

Only an issue since the injector replacement.
No idea if they check dct as part of normal servicing.
Dealer chat in order...
