Hello all,
My father and I have just bought my mother a 2011 Z4 sDrive30i M Sport for her 50th birthday, and whilst the car is relatively highly spec'd (19's, iDrive, leather etc), it has the stock halogen headlights with the yellow angel eyes. We're both in agreement that the headlights look terrible in comparison to the 2013 facelift standard lights so have been looking into alternatives for them.
At first we were looking at just changing the angel eye bulbs, but after a bit of research have discovered that apparently this will always lead to the inner ring being much brighter than the outer, so we're now contemplating replacing the headlights completely with that of the 2013+ LED/Xenon headlights.
What exactly would we need for a full conversion besides the actual headlight casings themselves? Is it even possible?
Thank you!

New lamps , ballasts and ignitors headlamp washer jets in bumper if doesn't have them an probably need coding, , whilst at my Indy recently a customer called asking about same MOD but for 3 Series an there is no official upgrade for that, as a lot of cars now come specifically wired ,
Although anything is possible if you have the time an money

I thought the E89s all had xenon as standard.
If you buy half decent led side light bulbs you should be happy with the look.
Replacing the whole headlight will cost a fair bit of money just to get rid of the slight yellow tinge.

Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

I think the OP is talking about the halos only. Replacement of entire units requires new control hardware and programming. It's not cheap.
I went with a simple H8 LED replacement.
