Thanks

I switched to 19's a few weeks ago and found https://www.tyremen.co.uk/ to be the cheapest at the time for Vreds (£480 delivered). I hadn't used them before but tyres were delivered quickly and all dated 2016.

Staggered 18's coming out about £350 delivered at the moment

Liking that tread pattern on the Sessanta's

Got my vorti's from Camskill. They were the cheapest by about £20 total for all 4 corners. £345.

Sessanta's are an obsolete tyre I think, so you'll be hard pushed to find the correct sizes as it'll be old stock. I wanted them but settled for the vorti's in the end, which are actually a better tyre anyway.

I've got the Vortis on mine all round staggered, the only comparisons I can make is with the run flat tyres it had on before. It is like night and day. Great tyres, good price, great wear, 20,000 miles on, the fronts have plenty of tread, the rears will be due for a change before winter.l

Camskill usually the cheapest for me,and Vreds are great tyres, just lacking in rolling resistance, but found them great on lots of cars over the years.

OP, you don't say where you are!

I've been using Martins Tyres in West End, Woking (01276 856846) for over 20 years and nobody has ever beaten them for price - if you are anywhere near I would give them a try.

Good luck anyway!

Haven't got them fitted yet. They're with the refurbishers, hopefully have them on by the weekend to test out, but judging by the sessanta's I've used previously, the vorti's should be fine.

Love the tread pattern of the Sessantas too, but they're an old tyre now. The Vortis are similar, performance-wise - very good value for dry weather usage, and acceptable (TBH, probably low/mid-pack) for wet usage. They frequently get close to the Michelin PSS in reviews and can usually be found for a lot less dosh. I think they are quieter than the Michelins too, since I switched from 18" PSS to 19" Vortis and road noise has been unaffected.
