these apparently fit the z4 http://www.cmwheels.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=60_91_92&product_id=230

picture of the alloys + tyres on ebay...I presume the fronts wouldn't fit though as they are 245/30/20 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20-Dare-NK-alloy-wheels-and-tyres-for-BMW-/321104553690?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item4ac352a6da

has anyone fitted 20" alloys to the e85/86???

these could look decent if offsets allowed??? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-BMW-20-INCH-6-SERIES-ALLOY-WHEEL-/121092588862?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&fits=Car+Make%3ABMW&hash=item1c31ae453e

Bet you could sneak a 20" wheel on with the right tyres..

Would have to be seriously low profile though...

They would be fine as long as you don't have to drive over speed bumps or any small raised kerbs. 19's are bad enough from what I have read.

They would be no good for the roads where I stay.

manchester roads are really really terrible... where I have to drive for uni there are SOOO many pot holes... at one point you can see the original cobbles beneath the tarmac

disgusting roads in manchester...I swear i've fked my 108s by how harsh the bangs are when I'm going 30mph

Yep agreed..

Roads are pretty bad around Manchester,i run 19" and have done on my last 4 cars....And a set of 20" on my E60 before that and never had a problem..

Be vigilant

Would be a little 'over wheeled' with 20's, a little 'LOOK AT ME' maybe.

I'd say 19 is the best for looks, 18 a decent compromise for a little comfort. (little!)

man if I didn't want people to look at me I would have bought a golf or an a3
(nothing wrong with the cars..just many around)

I think I'll give the 20s a miss though as the tyres would need to be too thin

Interestingly, the AC Schnitzer website states they now have 20in wheels for the Coupé in 9.0J x 20" with tyres 245/30 R20. Not sure what they'd look like. Not for me I think.

would those ebay ones fit then???...

nvm I'd not ever get 20s with nankangs
the road noise is bad enough with 18s and runflats

One thing you wont escape in a Z4 is tyre noise..

I have had Conti's,Pilot sports,Vreds,Maxxis,Avons,Matadors,Falkens and Altenzo's on my Z's...

No real discernable difference in noise from any particular tyre..

Fit depends on offset and tyre profile - not sure anyone has put 20in on but as a start you could use one of the online claculators http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=225&aspect=40&diameter=18&wheelwidth=8&offset=47&width2=225&aspect2=35&diameter2=19&wheelwidth2=8.5&offset2=45&Submit=Submit.

Good luck if you go for it.

So................

You buying then?

I am tempted...I'm just concerned if they will fit and not rub as they are 245 width all round as opposed to 225 on the fronts and they are using pants nankangs which means unable to get the power down if I want to boot it and risky cornering

to buy new would cost fair bit more too...19" seem alot cheaper

Nankangs will be fine....

Its not an M car........ :poke:

...I can get some M badges for it ....then will nankangs not be good enough?

these look mint, but at £850 bit expensive for me for just rims and wrong offsets

They do look really nice..

Why not try some 20" wheels on the car ?

Hotline at Levenshulme or Wheelbase in Oldham will probably carry something ?

or you can use google
