AC Scnitzer type 3's

Post by Crimson_27 » Thu Apr 21, 2016 1:51 pm

So perhaps this has been asked previously, (apologies if so). After searching the forum and google, I havn't quite found my answer.

I've bought some ACS typeIII's 18'', 8.5J, ET43 (I believe) they are in need of a refurb yet but i'm wondering if they require spigot rings, sizes and or spacers to fit correctly? I was under the impression they may need something to achieve the correct fitment, but my wheel knowledge is not great lol.

If anyone has fitted these before or knows any info, it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Great choice  although my set is currently heading to a new owner .
8.5j et 43 will work a treat & only a measure of the rear hub will tell you if they need a spigot ring
72.6 is what you want & my guess is thats what they will be .
For idea of stance these are 8.5j et 40 on my car (reps )
Assuming yours genuine not reps ? Got any pics ?

Ah looking good, I wanted something slightly less common I guess. Yes they are genuine 2 piece splits, they are winging their way to me as I speak so ill post some pics asap. They came up for a good price so I grabbed them.

Sounds like they should fit a treat  Out of intrest was 8.5J the most common size as most of the ones ive seen for sale have been 8.5. I was thinking about a staggered set up but havnt seen any wider. ?

Cheers for the info btw.

You can stagger the tyres slightly & maybe even add 10/15mm spacers to rears
btw , were they the ones that needed refurb ? with some missing + broken bolt heads

Time for tyres and being all 8.5J you mentioned I could stagger the tyres, if the rears are 255/35, could i use 235/40 or 225/45 at front ?? you don't remember what you had on yours by any chance?
