New 18" CSL style Wheels - Info That May Help

Post by brucietheboy » Thu May 05, 2016 11:12 am

After lots of faffing about I had my new wheels fitted today. I thought I'd stick down some details that may answer questions that people may have when swapping wheels (should add these were the questions I had and I got all my answers off the great people on here, especially mr wilks and SimonUK):

* New wheels are Riva DTM 18"
* Front wheels are 18 x 8 ET34
* Front tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 4 225/40 18" (not run flats!)
* Rear wheels are 18 x 8.5 ET37
* Rear tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 4 255/35 18" (not run flats!)
* Car is on eibach springs
* Original wheel bolts were reused
* Center caps were from amazon and are the normal 68mm size
* The space for the little M badge/sticker on these wheels is bigger than standard (hence not on my wheels yet as trying to find bigger versions)

After (immediately after so springs should settle a bit):

Looks good. Never seen bigger wheel badges though. Always seems to be a slight gap around them.

No rubbing so far and I know others on here run the same offsets without issues.

I did wonder if that was the case or if I'd find them on a big X5/X6 wheel

New 18" CSL style Wheels - Info That May Help

Sorry to ressurect and old Thread, but I am also considering getting the DTM CSL's also but was worried they wouldn't look great in a 18".. But on yours with the Eibachs they look Schweeeet. Which Eibach set did you go for? Was it the b12 set?

Again... sorry for bringing an old thread back to life... ¬_¬
