5 series mv2 wheels

Post by williamdefender » Tue Nov 08, 2016 12:59 am

Chaps
With your wealth of knowledge can anyone tell me if a set of staggered 18 inch mv2 from a 5 series fit my e85 . Seen a very nice set for a couple of hundred on Facebook . Guy has only given one size of tyres but says that rears are wider so I'm guessing i have to go back and ask him for front sizes . So far he has stated 245.40.zr18
thanks in advance

Mr Wilks will confirm no doubt, but the issue with these wheels will be the offset, not the width.

Totally different style MV2( not normally staggered so 4 x 8j ) with a slightly more concave spoke design & unfortunately too low a offset for E85s E86s
Probably squeeze them on a E89 ?

The rims on the E60 were 8" front and rear (non-staggered) and had an ET20 offset which is too aggressive for an E85/85. However, the rims from the 4x4 E60's with the xDrive system (525xi, 528xi, 530xi, 535xi, 525xd and 530xd models) which were also 8" front and rear had an ET43 offset which would be OK for the Z4.
