De-Solv-It Sticky Stuff Remover FAIL
Heads up Stay away from this stuff its deadly . I attempted to remove the residue left from my old wheel weights and it stripped the paint off my 326 alloys .
So I ended up back here (again)...
All sorted now though

It prob has aggressive dissolvers in like u find in ovencleaner.
Ur better off with wd40 and even fairy liquid and warm water is an excellent solvent degreaser.

I've found that Autosmart Tardis will dissolve virtually any sticky residue and it eats wheel weight backing for breakfast
Just don't use it indoors because it's got rather a strong smell

That's funny, I've tried that before on left over wheel weights with little success. Did you have to agitate the area with a lot of force to get it to shift? Always frightened that I'll take the lacquer off with itGAZA62 wrote:Had to remove the same sticky pad and residue from my wheel today AG Intensive Tar remover works a treat.

+1 for WD40. I had a similar issue on my motorbike wheels - takes a little perseverance but works a treatChris_D wrote:It prob has aggressive dissolvers in like u find in ovencleaner.

Good luck with the job hunt. Need that cash to keep the car looking and running great . (Oh yeah, and putting a roof over your head and eating food etc... but those are secondary of course )mj2k wrote:Perfect timing, as this is on my to do list while I look for employment
