They look great , a nice twist on the CSL wheel for future ref (unless you specifically wanted the chosen tyre sizes you went for ) 225 35 18 on 8.5 ? 235 35 would have been better for looks & comfort & 255 35 rears would also be beneficial

You're probably right.
I don't know how is the legislation in UK but in France, it is a bit Strict and I didn't want to take the risk to choose a Tyre size which is not conform regarding to the car's specifications.
First it was already complicated to take the decision to replace my RFT by Non RFT.

So who came up with the numbers they are more suited to OEM 19s of 8j & 9j sizes whereas your alloys are wider .Jimi wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2017 6:24 pm You're probably right.

Its no big issue either way but sized up slightly would improve ride , protect wheels & close your arch gap
225 35 19 on a front 8.5j is classed as tight as you would want ideally a 235 or even 245 would be right for that rim width

Completely True but these sizes are note marked on the label in the driver's door, so not recognized.mr wilks wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2017 6:33 pmSo who came up with the numbers they are more suited to OEM 19s of 8j & 9j sizes whereas your alloys are wider .Jimi wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2017 6:24 pm You're probably right.

The legislation doesn't take in consideration the width of the wheel but the size of the tyre.
This is stupid, I know.
Anyway, my car seems great like this. I will see in the future if keep these wheels, depending on the confort.
note; I have the M-Sport chassis.

That seems crazy choosing tyres based on whats on door pillar without considering the actual wheel widthsJimi wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2017 6:45 pmCompletely True but these sizes are note marked on the label in the driver's door, so not recognized.mr wilks wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2017 6:33 pmSo who came up with the numbers they are more suited to OEM 19s of 8j & 9j sizes whereas your alloys are wider .Jimi wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2017 6:24 pm You're probably right.

Nice one. You do not see these rims that often.
I have the exact same set on an E85, same tyre widths, offsets, etc., albeit with Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
Works like a charm and absolutely not uncomfortable:
