tyre size help!
So I realize this is another Tyre size thread but i'm beginning to go round in circles and need some help from the experts here.
I've got a set of 18'' 8.5j all round, i'm thinking of going 245/35 all round square or 235/35 fr and 255/30 rear. I could be miles away with these so hopefully someone can confirm or put me right. It would be much appreciated.
or just share what set ups you guys run or have worked.
thanks

tyre size help!
Tricky one to get right with so many variables but personally I would go 235 40 front / 245 40 rear depending on offsets

Appreciate the reply, there's almost too many variables !
Is this a set up you've used before?, I just want to avoid upsetting the handling etc too much.

Without offset numbers you cannot tell anything.Crimson_27 wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2017 7:05 pm Appreciate the reply, there's almost too many variables !

Personally i would keep 225/40 front & get a 235/40 rear tyre close to oem (and the design of the car) no extra weight from bigger wheels & rims and a spot on speedo.

Then you should be fine on 4 x 235 40 18s but as i said , there are many many variables to give a definitive correct set up

ok thanks
Think ill go for the slightly wider rear as you said initially, (I realise there's no one correct answer as it were).

If not you could even run M spec numbers of 225 45 18 / 255 40 18 on those rims

No its not lowered ... yet (maby future mod lol) .... so much choice, but thx give me something to aim for. I have a feeling 225/45 and 255/35 are what i run currently on the ellipsoids.

Our Z is set up with 225/40 front and 255/35 Rear but they are 8.5 and 9.5 with an offset of 35 front 40 rear
