samZ4M wrote: Wed Jul 19, 2017 10:53 am This thread is a direct result of your pictures, I think it's only fair you pay 20%! Looks lovely. I recall Marc's photos of his, and they are silver, but a bit too much for my liking. Hyper it is...

Looking at tyres, 265/35/19 is bloody expensive (due to Porsche fitment?) is 255/35/19 ok? over £50 each saving!

EDIT: 255 is fine for 9.5J, seems there is a -1.05% (7mm) rolling diameter on them.

Ive run many many 9.5j 19s & always on 255 35 profile simply for the extra meat around the wheel for both protection of alloy & comfort on the road
Good to know. But surely the wider would offer more protection, or am I being thick?
255/35 gives you 89.25mm sidewalls.
265/30 gives you 79.5mm sidewalls.

So you're gaining nearly 10mm in sidewall by going for the narrower width tyre.

Interesting, I think for the cost and comfort I'd go 255 then.

Someone has PM'd me about the 224's. Suppose I best get ordering so I can get them off and ready to sell.

I've decided on hyper silver and 235 & 255's.

Wheels are £500 delivered, tyres are £744 for all 4 Pilot sport 4S. Then a hunter alignment for good measure.

Won't be rushing, and will be coating the wheels before the tyres go on with something special. Is the C5 Wheel Armour the best?

And for you 2 others, stop it! I'd forgotten about the skirts for a moment...

Looking good!

C5 wheel armour is here, centre caps are here, ///M badges are here! I just don't have the bloody wheels! Delivered tomorrow, will 'armour' them up and get rubber on. Perfect timing for the wedding I'm attending next weekend. My car mate won't like me turning up  :driving:

Wheels have arrived!

But, take a look, thoughts? Obviously not transit damage, I ensured the boxes were fine before signing, but more manufacturing. This is all on 1 wheel, the rest seem good.
