Sadly, they still haven't given back the ability to separate notifications volume from the ring volume, which used to be standard 2(?) versions ago. I have a fairly soft ring tone, but a 'loud' text notification. If I turn up the ring volume, the texts are too loud.
I downloaded an App (ringbutler) that allows you to separate the volumes, but if you bump or change the ring volume it drags the notification volume back up again
. Don't want to root the phone yet as it's still under warranty and don't want to faff about returning it to stock ROM if I had to return it for any reason.I think Samsung allows you to separate the ring/notification volumes, but not sure - anyone with a Samsung can confirm?
