If you had the choice would you sell?
I really fancy a Porsche Cayman S would like 2009 upwards
But it would mean I would have to sell both my cars Audi TT Quattro 2011 2.0 tdi 51k and my Z4 3.0si 2006 72k and still have finance I did 1k in the Z4 last year and 3k in the Audi p
I absolutely loved both cars would a Cayman S worth it

Perhaps you need a Boxster rather than the Cayman, that way you're still able to drive roofless when the weather permits.

Not a fan of porkers so I would have to say not - ATM you're spoilt for choice, why change that!

Both cars cost me about :
Tax £486
Insurance £400 ish
MOT £80
So just under 1k a year to own + running costs
The Cayman S would cost around £18k to £25 to buy
And the other problem I have is because of the VW diesel scandal my Audi has lost about 4k in 6 months

id stick with a derv & a z4. that's what I have, albeit not as nice as your 'daily' I have a e46 320cd and love having the option of 2 cars - why have one when you can have two

Even if I had the money I couldn't divide my attention between 2 sports cars (a daily and a sports car yes, but not 2 sports cars). So I'd sell both and get the Cayman

I’d go for the Cayman.
According to VW the diesel scandal shouldn’t have affected the value of our cars

I would go Cayman. If you are doing such little miles pa, then it should still be special. A Gen2 Cayman S should lose next to nothing.
Is going for an M not an option?

Doing so few miles having two 2-seaters does seem a bit extravagant so selling both would seem like a plan.
Mind you I'd be after a Z4M, but if you have a Cayman S itch to scratch then why not? But try to get a drive in one first to see if you like it!
Good luck anyway, and let us know what you decide.

Had a Cayman few years ago. Great car but not cheap to run. I don’t think you will be disappointed if you buy one. Find a low mile example and keep the miles low. When the time comes to sell you will lose very little money.

Would I sell mine? Yes. Mines been abandoned to the back of my workshop awaiting next spring. Covered up, but not forgotten.
Way too many BMW's coming through my workshop doors over last few months. Same problems everytime (almost!). Fickle fragile little beasts they are. Although LR discovery/freelanders give them a run for their money!!
Andy.
