Z4UM - RIP
I'm sorry this has to be my first post here, but I thought I'd better let everyone know the latest on Z4UM. It makes me very sad to announce that the site admins have given up hope of recoving Z4UM. Most of you have already assumed this (hence this site), but we were still hoping to bring it back to life.
The Z4UM site is owned by one person (Z4CE AKA Amir) and he alone is the only one with the necessary access rights to restore the forum. The site admins (Ray and I) and with the help of Pete have tried on numerous occasions to get Amir to release the passwords so that we could attempt to restore the site.
Despite our numerous requests, and en e-mail from Amir indicating that he would release the passwords when he returned to the country, we have had no other communication from him for several weeks now. This is despite several e-mails from all 3 of us.
So, it is with great sadness that even we must now assume that the forum isn't coming back. We are all aware of the family problems Amir has suffered over the last couple of months, but we can now only assume that he is either unwilling to give out the passwords (so we can share the responsibility of running it) or he would rather see it just die.
I share in everyones disapointment. I know a great many of you have been missing Z4UM as have I. The forum has been a large part of my life for 4 years now, and I have met a great many people (some of whom remain good friends), and I've travelled places that I'd never been before in a car.
We would just like to thank everyone for supporting Z4UM over the last 4 years. Without you guys and gals, it really would have just been another boring car forum. Sure it had its highs and lows, but overall people got a lot out of it. It really is a shame that all that technical content and useless banter will be lost forever.
We would also like to thank everyone who offered to assist with technical expertise, and hosting services. We would have happily taken you up on your kind offers, if only we had the master key.
However, as one forum ends, another comes to replace it. I already see a number of usual suspects here and over on ZRoadster, so the community will no doubt continue to florish I for one, will continue to organise events in Scotland
I know you kind of all knew it was dead, but we didn't want to say anthing till we were sure ourselves. I'm just sorry it's bad news.

Hi Jules,
Good to see you here
What I have also noticed is that he no longer uses the MSN account he was using for messenger, and ignored me when he was still using it.
That is the bit I can not understand ...
