Hi all,
i'm aleady thinking of changing my wheel colour, just a couple of months into ownership. They are 326m 19" in standard bmw silver.
If i go for satin black plastidip, how long can I expect it to last? Wheels are pressure washed each week.
cheers.

Plastidip question
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

Re: Plastidip question
The dip on my wheels on my clk commuter have lasted almost a year, now it's starting to peel. However, I don't use a power wash.

Re: Plastidip question
Don't think the plastidip would withstand much pressure washing. Done the grills on my old e86 & use to give it a fresh coat every month or so,used to try & Keep the pressure washer away from them.

Re: Plastidip question
I plastidipped my wing mirrors - lasted about 9 months with regular (weekly) power wash.

Re: Plastidip question
I'm worried in case bits might fall off mine, e.g. glass in the wing mirrors!

Re: Plastidip question
could be a causative factor in mirrors loosening. When I replaced mine, i also edged them using sugruu to stop water ingress - rubber compound that sets but stays flexible. Has the added benefit of adding a nice thin black edge, so looks better
