 BMI of 29, I appear to be a fat bast##d from Malta. BMI is such horse pee.

Muscle weighs more than fat, so being heavier for your height, than the guy next to you, is not much use as an indicator of any thing. :D

BMI 23 and lower than 88% of males in my age group in the UK!

Most like males of my age in "Comoros" and I don't even know where that is!

I have a BMI of 29 - which makes me technically fat, borderline obese. So why then do I have a body fat index of 11% and a 32" waist ?

A couple of years back during an assessment for a minor op, a nurse took my height and weight and, without looking up, recommended that I "lose weight". I lifted up my tee-shirt and asked her "where from"? :)
Exactly the same for me Stuart.

Mine is 27 and I had my BF tested at 10% last week. Went for a work medical and was told to 'watch my weight'.

Absolute nonsense.

BMI is a good rule of thumb tool for people who are not really interested in the health of their body. If you take an active interest in looking after your bod, by eating the right foods often, the wrong foods occasionally and take regular exercise you will know the state of your body well and the BMI is superfluous.

The other one is eat five vegetables a day

Sir Chris Hoy, multiple cycling World Track champion, Olympic medalist too many times to remember, is, according to BMI, Morbidly Obese.

As for Size doesn't matter, it's probably only men who say that!!  :poke:

Oh, 28 and Bahrain.
