Agreed - but they are less of a risk of non detection though. It is the ones that are hidden in unknown places that take a reading at a single location that I need to be aware off.
I had to travel through Croyden and the nearby hostile environments and besides having to keep your eyes open for the white vans that don't stop for anything, the sheer amount of cameras everywhere made driving a nerve wrecking experience as I had no idea where they were and you have those strange dual carriage ways there with odd limits that try to catch you out.

The Cheetah warns you of the Average Speed zones as well and keeps track of your average speed since the start of the zone...Stark wrote:On lots of roads now, major ones, like the A40 and A3 etc, there are average speed check cameras - so slowing down for an individual camera won't save you

I tend to use cruise control in average speed zones anyway and just use the steering wheel controls to adjust the speed slightly up/down to match the surrounding trafficpvr wrote:Must remember to keep my glove box open in that case for those thenPerryGunn wrote:The Cheetah warns you of the Average Speed zones as well and keeps track of your average speed since the start of the zone...Stark wrote:On lots of roads now, major ones, like the A40 and A3 etc, there are average speed check cameras - so slowing down for an individual camera won't save you

Perry - how did you fix the magnetic mount to the dash? is it via an adhesive mount or are you using something else? Bad memories of removing the adhesive off of my dash from the Origin B2 so trying to avoid if possible. Thanks.

Self adhesive pad. Not removed mine so no idea how sticky it is.

It's a 3M adhesive pad - recently changed the X3 and had to remove it from the dash to go in the new X3 and it came away without leaving any residue

Perry - I was going to run mine off of the cigarette lighter in a Z4C - Where did you feed the wire from the back of the c550 around the side towards the door? or down the back? Thanks

if I go into unknown I'm always with my tom tom GO app on the phone! seems to do well as far as speed cameras etc go.
not as "current" as waze but it does the job.
driving inside m25 is pita, I have like 20 cameras in a 1.5mi radius

I hardwired into the power supply in the rear-view mirror housing (same as for a dashcam) then fed the power wire along the top of the windscreen and down inside the A-pillar, with it cable tied to the existing wiring loom - but I've got a roadster so it's fairly simple to remove the trim that goes along the top of the windscreen and the A-pillar trims, I've no idea how easy that is in a tintop...broomst wrote:Perry - I was going to run mine off of the cigarette lighter in a Z4C - Where did you feed the wire from the back of the c550 around the side towards the door? or down the back?
