Not for me!

i8 looks fantastic, but would you really want a car that looks so good with a 3-cylinder turbo engine (regardless of the batteries, etc.)

Chuck all the electrical nonsense away and fit a good V8, or better still a 5 litre V10, and it would be wonderful!
Coupes because stunning!

Just imagine the I8 if it had the engine from the 35is alongside the batteries, could still claim its green whatever but it would seriously shift

I had a lone of one for an afternoon and whilst it's not practical for parking with the gull wing doors and it's difficult to get in and out of (Especially for the missus in a short skirt) the performance is stunning, the handling is nothing short of superb. Expensive I would agree and not holding value but if you can afford a second hand one it would be great as a weekend car.

I have been told by one of my local sales reps they are producing a Spyder version with a larger engine petrol to go alongside the electric motors.

True dat ronk!

Saw one at Goodwood and although it looks the Biz, I recall it hardly did any miles before it needed a recharge, defeats the object for what a car should be, especially with a starting price of £103,000!

Do the batteries charge from the little engine ?
