My Zed was side swiped by a hit and run driver in the early hours of Wednesday morning whilst parked up outside our flat :(
No witnesses - police informed - statement taken - insurance notified.
Apart from the bodywork damage the wheel has been knocked out of alignment.

Car was loaded onto a flatbed pick up yesterday:

Garage has given me an initial report (new wing, reflector, arch liner – possible wishbone or steering arm damage) - I’m waiting for a full report today once they’ve had it up on the ramp.

Sorry to see that Marlon, completely sucks big time.

Are you going to claim on your insurance as when someone took my rear bumper out on the M135i my premium jumped by 400 quid :( Its so annoying and cr*p. I was wandering if cheaper in the long run not going through insurance.

Tim.

That's such a shame Marlon, we all know how much you like your car. Hopefully it'll be repaired to the previous standard. Only a car I guess but that's not the point. Sorry that's happened. :(

As for the scum that did it, don't get me started...you must be livid. :x

That truly sucks.

I don't think you have a choice but to go insurance anyway, from what you describe that is quite a costly fix.

Sh!te marlon, sorry to hear. I'd be livid and i'm sure you're proper p!ssed too!

It's no consolation but i nearly got taken out this morning coming off the mway after testing my hardtop adjustment.
Dickwad in a van and trailer decided to just move over into my lane almost running me off the road. If i hadnt have reacted so quickly he'd have taken out my left wing. After beeping and pulling in front of him i could see he was laughing as though he'd done it on purpose. So i stopped, got out and gave him a mouthful. He was obviously primate-level intelligent from his reaction. Was ready to lamp him but thought it best to take his plate number and company details and report it to them and police. F~cktard.

I'll be investing in one of those always-on front and back dashcams i think, as you're prob thinking too?

Good luck and hope it all comes together!
And it wouldnt be a valid post it f i didn't include this lol.....

Sorry to hear this Marlon. I know how much love you've put into that car. Hope she all gets fixed and returned to you just as she was before. I've had mine hit (drivers door) and the scrote drove off. Probably best for them as if I'd seen them do it......well.....I'd probably be in prison now!

What a bummer Colin. And to think that you narrowly escaped exactly this outside your house only a week or two ago.
Twice within in a month and I think I'd be looking for a new parking spot

Hopefully it will be as good as new and all a distant memory very soon.

Not nice to wake up to - not nice at all  Not your fault and you'll be the one having to fork out

You can only get it fixed and back on the road and just put it behind you - don't let such bad luck and resultant issues spoil your enjoyment of your Zed. Easy to say but hard to deal with. :headbang:

Hope you get sorted the fastest and most satisfactory way :(
