At last, there are a few benefits of getting older - cheaper insurance. Over 50, £290. Was pretty happy with that! Blackheath is not a good post code for insurance quotes though, there is more crime there than you realise. Not as bad as some I agree, but not too clever.

Not sure on how cost effective it is as I haven't looked into how it works with keeping it up to date and initial cost, but was wondering myself if doing an advanced driving course would save a large lump on my insurance. If you have the time it may be worth your while.

I'm well into the 2nd half of my 30s and had zero no claims as that's in use on another car. Our normal insurance is an Admiral multicar policy, they wanted well over £500 to add the Zed.
Give Adrian Flux a try.
Il try Adrian today. Haven't thought about them il let u know what they offer me
Just got off the phone wits Adrian Flux.

£790 paid monthly with all the bells and whistles. Which is cheaper than my current insurance by £70.

Thanks.

Il definitely give CK a call see what they quote next year when I up for renewal.

That's a horrendous price IMO. Not directly comparable, but my Trader's policy covers me for any vehicle in my use, custody or care, including motorbikes, and high performance. £30k per vehicle limit (easily increased) cover for any driver over 25 driving with my permission, plus any driver over 18 accompanied by me. Premiums, starting with ZERO ncb (allowed intro) as prev had car covered on neighbours fleet policy for the last few years;

2012 £1170 0% NCB
2013 £1050 20% NCB
2014 £995 30% NCB
2015 £1025 40% NCB
2016 £990 50% NCB

Premiums have obviously gone up annually, but not by the massive amounts yours has, and the blow was softened by the increased NCB.

Always dealt direct with the Lloyd's Broker.
