Whoever advises T May need to be given the heave ho,her campaign was dire.
Yep! Dodgy manifesto aside, she should have been on the TV debates questioning Corbyn about how he was going to fund his vote winning manifesto pledges. Let's be honest, if you're an 18+ year old just about to head off to uni, and you're offered £9k per year saving in exchange for your vote, regardless of any other reason, who wouldn't honestly have voted Labour?! You'd be studying for most of their term anyway! These votes + the easy target benefits scroungers was always going to attract a lot more votes! Top that off with dementia tax to P off the older voters and it's no wonder Dumb & Dumber nearly got into power!!!! :headbang:

My wife worked in a polling station and told me early yesterday that the old bids were moaning about the dementia tax, winter fuel payment and pensions and that there was a high chav/ scrounger voter count (after the Jeremy Kyle show finished!!) asking how to vote because they'd never voted before and chanting Labour!

Theresa May master stroke calling an election when any and all the opposition are totally unelectable!
About as fair a fight and tangling with a one legged bloke in a butt kicking competition
You would have thought so at the time, but my, how she cocked that up ?

Feel a bit of a tit now - but I'm not alone.

Strong and stable becomes weak and wobbly in just 8 weeks

Jeez the 20something generation must think us baby boomers are stupid!
now I'm about to have more time I've suddenly got less toys to play with!

What goes around, comes around ... old'uns were blamed for Brexit, we can blame them for a hung paliament :)

On the plus side, at least TM is being shackled from implementing her more contentious policies. Corbyn (& activists) played a canny game going for the populist policies for the younger generation as he was never going to see the increases he needed by targeting the older generation.

Wait until the election honeymoon is over and the knives come out for Corbyn. Even with a massively unpopular government, Tory campaign that seemed focussed on self-harm, and a charismatic-less Tory leader, Labour still didn't win enough seats. Personally, I'm still not convinced that Corbyn's form of socialism is relevant today. Labour does need to brand itself as socialist & progressive to appeal to the whole electorate; Corbyn just doesn't appeal as the leader to deliver that.
