If you apply her numbers you'd get many many more than 10!
I did. 80 million for 10,000 officers was £8k a year so 8.5 officers for her salary?
At one point she did say 250,000 new officers. Even bigger bargain, there would be one on every street corner. :D
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

But what does that say about the population though. I am disappointed that there are that many gullible people about that could even think that Corbyn could lead a country.

The best thing about last night was that Wee Krankie received a swift kick in the nuts and Salmond had been shuffled off the stage...

Very true. Especially as they were rather sure they were going for a full house this time. I wonder if a second referendum is still on the card or whether she got the message. Would love to see her go.

Good point - I just found out that former students thought that they would get a refund of their loans.

That would be a first for a government to refund past expenditure ... :o

Such arrogance is what scuppered TM's master plan - to say so many tens of thousands of voters who think there may an alternative way of thinking are deluded and gullible is beyond arrogance - the young vote made a big impact not just in university cities but across the country - they represent the future let's not forget .

History would have taught what labour governments are about though, even to the point that the IMF has to bail them out as they have no economic savvy what so ever. Playing Father Christmas might attract votes, but bankrupts the country.

It is indeed the young that generally vote for them as they think they will gain (the freebies). When they get older, they suddenly find out that they have to pay for those freebies from days gone by and get wiser and vote different.

I am not the biggest TM fan either, but with a choice between pain and ruination, the option should have been clear for anyone who thinks about the long term and not the short term handouts.

It is not for nothing that financial markets collapse if there is chance of a Labour win, and when going in Brexit now, no foreign company wants to deal with a government that will tax them to death and force a layer of red tape that will cripple them (nor having pay rates that are not competitive or a work force that can not be easily changed in size as once hired, impossible to fire).

Note that a previous Labour government caused the whole Islamic issue to explode, and the thought of another Labour government who would welcome them all in the UK by the looks of it, is quite frightening.

As you would expect I don't accept such a broadbrush statement about the young - what I do see is a swathe of young voters who previously hadn't voted but now realise they can make a difference .

I would think younger voters are getting their information from other sources and not the BBC or Newspapers. Most of their info will come from social media and the internet. Whether this is a biased view or not it cant be any different from what you get from the TV or papers, just maybe the opposite way around.
