My mate in darkest Cornwall has just had some decent broadband installed after he paid to get some overhead wires/telegraph poles installed.

Previously he had to use semaphore.

Some have marginally better internet access...some have speeds that would hardly have been thought possible 7 years ago!
Who knows, in another 7 years we may have intergalctic travel!

TalkTalk -I pay an extra £5 a month for the faster fibre which is up to 76Mbps but actualy only gives me an extra 10Mpbs over their normal fibre (38Mbps) but does increase my upload speed by a factor of 4. If only I lived a few more metres closer to the box..
