Don't worry about the brakes, they're only going to slow you down :P

That radiator is going to need some serious ducting if it's going to provide cooling when fitted in the boot

I love these types of things, zed cars etc, I've always wanted a crazy rwd mini with a turbo'd Hayabusa engine or similar, but been too sensible to buy one so far. God knows what the type R engined ones are like!
I've decided that instead of a bike for the commute I'm going to save and buy a bike engined one once I've sold my s.i. coupe. There is a Wilwood brake kit especially made for these.
Currently zedless :(

That would be wild. I spent my teens close to death in a full face 1340cc '60's Mini, so can only imagine how wild this one would be...

Same for me.....1310 Cooper S engine,12G295 ported head,cam I think was 731 and inch & three quarter SU...OH AND 3 branch manifold.
All good at the time but so antiquated now and inefficient......probably made 80 odd HP

That Honda engined mini would benefit from a proper LSD and for safety a full cage with door bars.......reckon that could well be an accident waiting to happen if it's piloted with any passion in the wet!!........type R was a popular if expensive elise/exige conversion but a quite a weighty lump I was told and hanging on the front of a FWD car as compact as an old school mini could well prove "interesting".......especially when the VTec kicks in coming off a roundabout :driving:
Adrenaline overdose

That made me really smile. I too still remember the same head casting number. Mine was taken to RR in Derby to be gas flowed and ported. Twin valve springs and a long centre branch exhaust. All slowed down with finned drum brakes that were better than tiny disks...lol
