Car Shed List - what are your picks?
I often dream about what cars I would buy if I could create my perfect "reasonably affordable" car shed, without spending epic sums on single cars i.e. no Singer 911s for £600,000+. Scenario is if I ever ended up with a half a million pounds and wanted a nice array of cars.
I would love one of all of the M cars across the generations of course, but outside of BMW there are some lovely rare cars that would make it in.
Interested in what your picks would be?
My picks
Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9 - lightweight hoons
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI Tommi Makinen Edition - fantastic all weather fun
Vauxhall VX220 Turbo (Stage 4) - nuts lightweight basic sport car
Nissan GTR Nismo or Black Edition Litchfield Stage 5 - fastest thing on the road?
BMW 850 CSi - pure class
Aston Vantage V12 - that engine omg, daily driver possibly
BMW Z8 - what a dream package, trips down to Monaco?
Wiesmann MF5 GT V10 RHD - the looks, the drive train, showing off to friends and hot girls?
RUF CTR "Yellowbird" - track weapon, back to basics with pedigree
Probably outside of affordability:
Porsche 997 GT2 ideally or GT3 RS - one of my dream cars
1970s Porsche 911 RS - did I mention I love Porches?

The cars I have owned. Many people would term as sheds. Do they count.
Now off to think about a sensible answer.

'Car shed List' - confusing title there, I was expecting a list of clapped out wheezing rust buckets.

For sentimental reasons I add an MR2 with the pop-up headlights, maybe an an XR2 with the pepper pot alloys.
Agree with the Lotus Esprit and Z8. I'd also have a mid 90's Skyline.

Had a red 1.9 GTI. It was a fantastic car and I drove it so hard the engine mounts began to fail. Looking back I don't know how I didn't have an accident. I was young and (as so often is the case) stupid. Now my wife reckons I'm old and stupid. I also had lots of MGs. They didn't really go fast. It just felt as if you were flying. There was so much wind noise.
My list would include: MG TF (1950s model)
Ford RS 2000 Mk 1
Peugeot 1.9 GTI
Cooper S 1275

Jensen Interceptor FF 4x4 convertible (they put that drivetrain on a RS Capri 3.1 at some point)
Z8
1930's Jag SS
Almost any Aston
A mint MG Maestro Turbo (I know, but have you ever driven one!)
And something you can actually drive and park in Tesco's without some git keying it, like the new Skoda Kodiaq or the Peugeot 3008.

If you try and take a cat apart the first thing you have is a non working cat.

I'm looking for 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 cylinder engines...the below is a nice list for me
Aston Vanquish S (manual conversion)
Audi RS6 Avant (all blacked out)
E39 M5
E46 CSL
991.2 GT3
2004 Mini Cooper S
Renault Clio V6 (liquid yellow)
Lamborghini Murcielago (manual)
TVR Sagaris
Z4MC
Quite interesting that almost no one has any interest in a Mercedes of any kind...
