Travel Insurance

Ive got travel insurance and have declared to them a medical condition. They currently cover me for the condition and I have told them what medications are required to control it.
The annual trip to Germany is booked and paid for but the hospital say I can now go in for a procedure to correct the condition (elective surgery) but the insurers now they say they won't cover me unless I'm told I'm fit to travel after the procedure.

A. If I'm not fit to travel I will claim on the policy (£600 Ferry £1000 accomodation)

B. If I am fit to travel then the pre existing condition they previously covered me for will be better than before or cured.

I don't understand their logic - is it me????

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

I am in a similar position. I had a procedure in November 2016. At that time it appeared that I might need a second procedure. My recovery was better than expected and the doctors have decided a second procedure is not now necessary and have verbally given me the all clear. They told me that I would be able to fly one month after the first procedure. If a second was necessary, again I could fly one month after that. The insurance company are still insisting that I have written medical permission to fly in December 2017. They will not accept any verbal comments. So in essence as jabber says they are just covering their backs. But it is essential you comply with their demands or the insurance could be deemed invalid.
