I'll post this here as I'm sure it will be of interest/useful to some members.

Basically the most important change is the old CAT C/D categories are going and are to be replaced by CAT N and S.
N is for a non structural damage write off
S is for a structural damage write off.
Should help folks when buying/selling an insurance write off as you'll have more of a clue as to what the original level of damage was.

Good idea, I like the idea of removing the commercial decision element.

Interesting - that seems to make much more sense than the old system, where even Cat D's could have pretty major damage if they were newish cars.
