I thought the GT86 got pretty positive reviews? Evo, Top Gear, Autocar, Auto Express etc all have it at 4/5 or better. I think it's aimed at 'a bit of fun coupe' rather than 'supercar beating toyota q-car'

Only issue I can see is that it appears it would be missing a couple of cylinders. :poke:

4 cylinder turbo? No thanks!!

For me BMWs are all about the glorious NA straight sixes they've always been famous for. Looks like I'll be picking my BMWs from the secondhand and classic car pages from now on...

Doesn't look like it'll be any kind of looker although it could increase the value of the E86 / E86 models as they will become even more desirable depending on how ugly this thing is.

Hopefully it's all false panels and I will live in hope that a stunner is living underneath but not really holding my breath following the E89.

Seems to have shrunk in those pictures, very happy with that. :D

Fingers crossed for a proper fun little sports car.

If there is one with a roof attached at both ends, maybe - so long as it isn't bigger in every dimension and still has an N/A straight 6!

In my dreams.......

New Z4 spy shots (It's also a Toyota Supra!)

Post by Ewazix » Thu Jan 21, 2016 8:49 am

Umm the new Z4 alias Toyota Supra joint development venture spy shots are out. It's back to a rag top and described as less fussy than the E89 styling it could be good but difficult to see what it will really look like? It certainly looks BIG so may leave plenty of room for a nimble Z2 if that ever arrives.

So you don't feel everyone is ignoring you, but we had two other posts with the same spy shots, though they were titled new Z5, so you are not at fault :D here's one of them
