My space grey 35i (update on last page)

Post by nuebbes » Fri Feb 01, 2013 9:55 pm

This post shows the evolution of my 35i Z4 from day one from date of the buy to latest stage of the improvement-evolution. You should not spend too long on the first pages, but it is great to follow the evolution process to the latest pics and updates on the last page.
I hope you will enjoy the evolution of my Z4 on the following pages.
My plan is to develop my own Z4 e89 ///M by myself. Enjoy the design-process...

Hi,

in November I bought my 35i at Kohl Automobile (AC Schnitzer) - almost fully equipped (except M-Package and TV-function).

I love this car and the design, but some small changes must occur...

First step were AC Schnitzer lowering springs:

Because of no insurance coverage in the winter weather w/o winter-tires in Germany, I used the OEM 19" rims with 235/35 R19 and 265/30 R19 winter-tires.
In addition I installed 24 mm H&R spacers:

Next steps:

- front-bumper enhancement (already occured today but no pictures available yet) - perhaps M-front bumper installation -> I already bought it but I love my beautifications at the actual front, so I am not sure anymore...
- 19" BMW wheels for the summer-season-setup (design almost decided)
- JB4
- BMW Performance kidneys (perhaps)
- LCI headlamps or white LED angel eyes
- LCI side markers

Cheers from Cologne,
Phil

Too many M sports on here.. Best to make good on the non m sport body IMHO! I've really grown to love the fact my car is not M sport as M sport is common due to 20i offers here in the uk. The non m sport bumpers are fab! Especially on the 35i and better still black as it hides the gaping mouth and highlights the lower grey intakes! Also love the 296 wheels. I know they have a bad rep due to cracking but they look stunning and that diamond cut face of the 296 really shines in the light.

You northerners have no taste. You'd put a bag of chips and a pint of bitter on the front if you could!!!

Nah we just know what looks good and don't need to copy others.. eh Nick? ;) As I recall you bought a non M sport, felt left out of the masses and stuck an M sport bumper on the front... some of us are secure in what we have ;)

Bloody southerners always insecure and needing to be the same as everyone else...
