Easter Nurburgring Lap

Well this seemed as good a place as any to put this. Been too busy at work to go through my videos until now, but this is probably one of the better (and certainly quieter laps) I had whilst over at Easter. This was on the closed circuit trackday, and we were lucky enough to get to run on the VLN circuit, which takes in the GP Sprint layout, and the Nordschleife combined.

I can't say enough about how good the Destination Nurburgring trackdays are. If you really want to drive the 'Ring, it is the only way to do it. As you can see, the number of cars, and the length of circuit, mean you almost get the track to yourself at times, and being a closed trackday rather than a public TF day, there are non of the 3rd party insurance worries.

Anyway, enjoy... :D :driving:

Very smooth, no dramas... can see why you enjoyed it

I was lucky to have a clear lap like that on an open day a few years back. They were manoeuvring sightseeing buses through a temporary chicane just before the entry to the F1 circuit. They let me through and then stopped the other cars again so despite the delay at the start I had a fantastic lap all to myself. It really transforms the experience.

Is ur reg UR025LOW? Just seen a viper in Florida wearing UR 2 SLOW and a Lamborghini with YS OFFCR.

Tapatalking on my iPad.......

Very nice, how did you brakes hold up? Mine struggled with 4 laps on a TF day!

Once you get to know the circuit, the 'Ring isn't that hard on brakes compared to more conventional circuits. However, my Z has full 6pot/4pot APs (front/rear) with braided lines and RBF600 Dot 4 fluid, and Pagid RS29 pads all round. As such they're pretty robust and take pretty much anything I throw at them! :)

That explains it :D I just had the 330 upgrade and only PS3 track knowledge, so I was probably much harder on them than i needed to be

Excellent video  As mentioned, very smooth and you're clearly pretty familiar with the track. The brief duel with the white E46 M3 looked fun, do you know if it was OEM spec? I don't usually find them to be as fast on the track as my ///M, but the one in your video looks like it has a CSL bootlid. I presume you're usuing a GoPro - how did you record the driver image as well?
