Sunset images thread
Inspored by the summer images thread, I do love a good sunset - there's something almost mystical, and a little melancholy, about seeing that huge ball of nuclear madness that keeps us all alive slipping beneath the horizon. Unfortunately I am not the world's greatest photographer, but to tempt all you great snappers out I'll get the ball rolling :
On board a private yacht off Nevis in the Carribean in 2008 :
Same trip, moored off Moskito Island (just next to Virgin Gorda, owned by Richard Branson) :
Pulau Tioman, off the west coast of Malaysia in the South China Sea, 2010 -
Finally, Olu Deniz in Turkey, 2011 :

Nice photos everyone!
That flight must have been a bit bumpy Carol? I can remember flying into a thunderstorm over Turkey on the way back from Dubai. It was worst turbulence and scariest time I've ever experienced on a plane!!

It was the most beautiful/scary thing I've ever seen. I wanted the plane to fly closer (in a stupid way!)

Re: Sunset images thread
Pics 1 to 4 have been taken with Nikon DSLR's of some description. Pics 5, 7 and 8 were taken using my iPhone! Pic 6 and the last 2 sunset ones were taken using a Sony NEX5 camera.
The photo of my shoes on the beech was actually a mistaken shot! I went to move the camera and ht the shoot button!!
