They really are Winter tyres and I am glad of them at the moment. Further along the road my wife's Saab struggles on Summer tyres whereas I got up no bother.

That said I hate them when the road is fine and temps are mild as they so often are these past few Winters.

This is the third winter in which I have owned the Zed and each autumn I have seriously thought about getting winter tyres, but have decided not to. Last year and the one before I was really pleased that I didn't as it was a very few number of days when the the temperature went below 3 degrees Celsius.

Yesterday evening was the first time therefore I have driven the Zed in snow. It certainly made for a more exciting than usual drive home from the station!

We had a light dusting overnight, here in Bristol. Just enough to look pretty but without the hassle !
